I am trying to reclass from 31B to 31k. My NCO told me I have to take a test, and if I pass we can look at available handler slots. What test do I need to take and how can I prepare for that?

There's a lot of information missing. From what it sounds like, you mean your Retention NCO or Career Counselor said that you need to retake your ASVAB. There's a BSEP course the Army makes you take to prepare for retaking the ASVAB. Other than that, there is no test, and there is no test if your line scores meet the MOS prerequisites.

There is no test. If you're already a 31B, then you're good to go. You're halfway there.
