The person from whom he received this discharge wants to research and hopefully find out the battle history of his unit.<br /><br />The unit at the time was known as A Battery, 62nd Artillery CAC, which served in France from 1918 to 1919. A google search points to a unit supposedly at Ft. Hood, TX known as 1-62nd ADA, however the Ft. Hood Directory does not list that unit at Ft. At each USAF base, there is a historian&#39;s office at the wing ( division level) and at least an office at company level.
