Is there an Army Regulation that explicitly talks about weapons handling and associated safety concerns therein? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-there-an-army-regulation-that-explicitly-talks-about-weapons-handling-and-associated-safety-concerns-therein

A Soldier in my Platoon was using their weapon as a means to clamber atop a vehicle much the same way one would use a cane. I'm searching for an AR that would specifically cover such gross safety issue. I'm coming up with nothing. Does anyone know where this would be covered with doctrine?

Yes, it's a common sense thing but when paperwork is involved references are needed. Thanks! Luckily, unlike "don't give your new stripper girlfriend your bank account info or a general power of attorney", this common sense thing is covered in a book:
TC 3-22.9
Chapter 1
SAFE WEAPONS HANDLING
RULES OF FIREARMS SAFETY 1-6.
Rule 1: Treat Every Weapon as if it is Loaded

And you could probably apply some generalized statements from AR 385-10.
