There is no improper wear of the reflective belt. The only improper wear is not to wear one. They prevent accidents, injuries, incoming fire, STD’s and the gum disease known as gingivitis

The basic policy is you're supposed to wear it during hours of darkness - that came from SECARMY last year. Units may have a policy about color, wear, etc.

Hmmm... I always laughed at the stupidity of the order to wear PT belts in a combat zone.... "We need to wear the belts so that you don't get run over by a car while you are sitting down to eat a meal in the dining facility!"; Excuse me, but in a combat zone, a car running me over is the least of my concerns, I am more worried about being more visible to that sniper that is itching to squeeze off a round! Reflective PT belts in a combat zone is the most idiotic lame brained idea to ever be hatched by the "good idea fairy"!
