I turn 33 in December, so now I will have to submit an Age ETP. Is there any more guidance on that other than what is listed on USAREC website? Best wishes on your application! After your packet is reviewed and if there is a waiver issue, you will be notified. Worst they can do is tell you “No” and your stuck where you are right now. Better to try and not get it than to not try at all. Their is a sample packet that contains some advise on age ETP. I’m going through this now as well and the two points my recruiter emphasized were:

- Explain (convincingly) why you waiting this long to apply. Maybe you had an obligation to your current MOS that just now expired. Circumstances beyond your control will look much more favorable than ”I’m bored and figured I’d give flying a shot”

- convince the board why you are an ”exceptional” candidate. Maybe you have a masters degree in aviation, can still so a 300 AFPT, can levitate objects with just your mind or scored a 150 of your SIFT.

You should not let this stand in the way of your dream because as with everything else, the worst that can happen is that you get told ”no”. If you get told no, apply again!. PO3 Christian Brielmaier Sun, 18 Nov 2018 21:15:15 -0500 2018-11-18T21:15:15-05:00 2018-11-16T10:59:22-05:00
