To call a horse a horse, I was in over my head and was not prepared mentally for the task I signed up for. As a result I cracked under the pressure in BMT. I don&#39;t recall all specific details of how, but I managed to get myself put into inpatient for suicidal/thoughts of self-harm...Long story short I was ELS&#39;d with a Separation code of JFY and Reentry code of 2C. <br /><br />My question is thus, is there any possibility of re-enlisting? I ask now, over 7 years later because not a day goes by where I do not regret my foolish decisions. I gave up then; I would like to know if there is a chance to redeem myself and make good on my commitment? I&#39;m in a similar boat with the same reentry and separation code. I was young and dumb a LONG time ago and didn&#39;t take the advice of my Technical Sergeant who said I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn&#39;t opt to have an attorney fight the discharge.
