Not that I was ever aware of, but common sense should be shown. If their loud music, fire alarms, complaints, etc- the NCO should be banging on your door regardless of the time.

Staff Duty/CQ can any time they deem necessary, as it's their job to ensure things are up to standard throughout the barracks/AO.

AR 600-20 Army Command Policy para 2-18 and basically chapter 4. They can check your room and barracks conditions at what ever time they deem fit to maintain good order and discipline in the unit. Your NCOs are accountable to your Commander.

Anytime I entered the room for any reason it was an informal inspection. Mostly health and welfare inspection to ensure the room was clean and reasonably neat, Formal inspections were announced but caring for troops is an NCOs primary. If I walk in to ensure the troops are preparing to go to whatever formation on a Monday and I see a beer can pyramid as tall as I am the I would only comment that the cans had better not be there next time I walk trough the door. (Informal inspection) If contraband is seen, then the UCMJ and the rest of the Chain of command may have to be involved. I have never seen a barracks room that gave you the right of privacy.

I know this is 3 years old but it just popped in my feed.

Bottom line and I'm sure you know this by now if you're still in three years later...all regulations have the dreaded 'at the commander's discretion" qualifier.

So to your question, pretty much every regulation is "whatever the commander says to do." At all command levels (Company, Battalion, Brigade, etc.)
