After about almost 2 yrs at that assignment, he submitted a 4187 for an overseas reassignment. It was granted. But, it was also for Korea. Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 3 at 2017 11:20 AM 2017-05-03T11:20:52-04:00 2017-05-03T11:20:52-04:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 2543720 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lots of ways.<br />Some are voluntary and may result in forfeitures of bonuses or incentives.<br />You can be promoted out of a unit.<br />You can be reassigned due to inactivation or realignment.<br />You can be involuntarily reassigned due to being excess.<br /><br />If you are the one trying to be reassigned, bear in mind that you may be putting your incentives in jeopardy of being collected. This needs to be discussed openly so that you can make an informed decision on what is best for you.
