<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>do you mean chapter 5-17? It is unlikely that your battery or BN commander would write such a memo since they are the ones who initiated the chapter process.LTC Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 21 Oct 2020 09:34:54 -04002020-10-21T09:34:54-04:00Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Oct 21 at 2020 9:42 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Look, BH problems are not MOS dependent. I don't know what your diagnosis is (and I don't want to know). But it will not magically get better if you change MOS. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not likely. Got the same chapter in January this year. Depending on what your RE code is (3 or 4 most likely) and characterization of service, wait six months then start working on a waiver or just do something else. I decided to just go back to community college and it ain't too bad.PVT Donovan GrahamWed, 21 Oct 2020 09:53:06 -04002020-10-21T09:53:06-04:00Response by MAJ Javier Rivera made Oct 21 at 2020 10:10 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No commander on his/her mind will go over a behavioral health professional’s assessemt. Somewhere along the process you should and the opportunity consult with JAG with regards of it. Didn’t you take advantage of it and inquire about all of your options, if any, to challenge the process?MAJ Javier RiveraWed, 21 Oct 2020 10:10:41 -04002020-10-21T10:10:41-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 21 at 2020 10:20 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You could definitely reclass if you weren't being discharged. Your battery and battalion Commanders are the ones discharging, so why would they recommend you reclass?SFC Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 21 Oct 2020 10:20:48 -04002020-10-21T10:20:48-04:00Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Oct 21 at 2020 11:59 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If I understand the scenario you are getting a 5-15 for a potentially pre-existing mental condition. If they are pushing you out for mental health issues you can't pause the proceedings to re-class to another MOS. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Look, re-enlistment is a priviledge, not a right. Some where along the line your Co BC will initiate and sign off on your chapter.
