My game plan is to improve on what I can control before the deadline. I will update my SRB with the ACFT I took recently and scored 510 vs the 248 APFT score. Have someone look over my resume and critique me on where to improve. Lastly coordinate with another CW5 at brigade to hopefully add an additional LOR to my packet. Some of my stats are listed below.
SIFT-43
GT-114
ACFT-510
APFT-248
College-46 SH

Thank you in advance!

V/R
SGT Bravo Is there anyone who could help me strengthen my 153A packet before the resubmission deadline in January? 2020-12-07T08:50:10-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6558761

FQ-NS for the November board. I’m in the same situation with a SIFT score of 44 Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 7 at 2020 10:43 AM 2020-12-07T10:43:05-05:00 2020-12-07T10:43:05-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 6560061

Good luck to you. I was a NC-NS this last board with a sift of 44. So I bet my money that my it was the reason for me. Again, hopefully you'll make it this next one. Are they generic without any substance? Can you easily put Joe Schmos name in the name block and it read the same? Is your essay too long with grammatical errors or fluff? Is your SRB squared away? Waivers? A low Sift score is not the end all be all. People who have scored 40 have been selected. Comb through all of the above and see what you can tighten up. Good luck next board Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 9 at 2020 2:49 AM 2020-12-09T02:49:35-05:00 2020-12-09T02:49:35-05:00 WO1 Private RallyPoint Member 6633294

If you would like to be more competitive for the board, it’s not just about numbers. Sure high APFT/ ACFT are good but what will most likely help is college, experience, and character. Ask yourself what can you do for the Army aviation community and not so much what you can do for your packet.

As far as scores go I was selected with a sift of 41. APFT of 282. 80+ college credit hours. Aircraft maintenance certificates and several leadership positions. I hold several valuable schools for the Army that would assist any gaining unit. Letters of recommendation are big but the board most likely won’t look past your SWO LOR.
