I just got my disability rating back and received a rating of 70%. Im having a tough time being a civilian and miss the military. Is there any hope of me going back in? I don&#39;t care if it is active, guard or reserve. I know it probably sounds crazy to those of you still in but, man I miss it. I feel like im out here flappin. Thanks Is there hope of me returning to the Army after my ETS and VA rating? 2017-06-07T16:36:39-04:00 SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member 2631275 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I ets&#39;d in December after 8 years in the active Army. I know there are Soldiers within my BN that attend Battle Training Assembly only for retirement points only due to their VA rating. Speak with a Recruiter and possibly a Reserve unit near you to see if they have a better/clearer answer. If you left the military and could have reenlisted prior to getting your VA disability you should be able to get back in. This however will stop any VA benefits that you may be receiving. Easiest way to go about finding out exactly is to review the bottom portion of your DD214 and looking up your reenlistment code. Then you can either do some internet research as to what the code means or you can bring it straight to the recruiting office. Of course, even if you still have a code that will allow it, that doesn&#39;t mean that the military can&#39;t just kick you back for health reasons. And don&#39;t bother trying to sweep them under the rug; the VA is an entity branching from the military and they can look up those records (unlike when you first went into the military where they only knew as much medically about you as you would tell them). Good luck man. I know that if I could do it that I would go back in. Sadly, I&#39;m on the permanently retired list...
