Probably on your installation. If you get assigned as your battalion EOA, usually a E7 position, is at a facility in Florida I believe. Nothing against your OIC but he can only recommend to your commander to be and unit EOL and placed on orders by the commander. Next you will need to speak with your BDE EOA (with orders in hand) who will lay out the guidelines of your installation along with school dates and the whole nine (For example I had to do an interview, local records check and essay when I went to EOL as apart of the units SOP). But to get a headstart look into AR 600-20 and you will find the basis of the program. You can look up classes on the atrrs course catalog for more info, it's a 60 hour course. No pre-requisite listed DL-wise. It's an EO course you first have to have appointment orders be vetted by your BDE EOA and have your schools person slot you for a class. At least that's how it's done here. I hope that helps. So you will be in charge of the rest of the EOLS in your section or company or Bn. Once you become a SSG (p) or SFC you can apply to become an EOA which is not the leader but the advisor. At that level as an advisor that is a separate identifier. Your job for 2 years will be as an advisor to a brigade, regiment commander or above. From there you will be in charge of managing the equal opportunity program , monthly observances, and address any isses when a formal complain need to be processed, resolved and followed up with the individual that made the complain and their COC. The school is in Florida and is 3 months long.
