SSG (Join to see) Schofield was featured in the 1951? 'From Here to Eternity'. Burt Lancaster was the 1SG in the movie. I successfully adopted a few of his methods. When I finally visited Schofield years later, it was an emotional experience. I could not locate the 'Choy's Beer Parlor/Club' featured in the movie.

We PCS's from there last July; the wife and I still field questions about "when are we going back to Hawaii?" That was my second tour there; spent a total of 6 years there. Good times.
