You can apply outside your MOS as long as you can do the job. Keep on trucking thou, you never know. Oh I got a hit once on TOD but my own chain of command shut me down. Had an opportunity to deploy to Afghanistan (in 2013) as part of an SFAT team, but was cancelled. But why ? Please don't do it for the wrong reason. A war zone is not a good place to be. I alway tell soldiers be careful what you ask for. You just might get it.
