Each situation is different. If you live off post and are not receiving BAH, likely not. If you live in the barracks your unit has the responsibility. If you are authorized off post housing and single likely yes. You need to speak to your S1 and the transportation office. Your unit should also know these answers based on its deployment order. If a roommate was not deploying, they would be moved and paired with other non deployables. I am surprised you have enough stuff to need a storage unit Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2020 2:19 AM 2020-03-05T02:19:35-05:00 2020-03-05T02:19:35-05:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 5632868 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>While single, there were options for storage for me. I had to pay up front and seek reimbursement (vehicle). For storage of home goods, my understanding was the Army would pay BAH or storage but not both. I would think PODS would be a reasonable choice if I wanted convenience and security. <a target="_blank" href="https://www.pods.com/promo?eadid=phone::">https://www.pods.com/promo?eadid=phone::</a> [login to see] &amp;kpid=GOOGLE_149304315_ [login to see] _ [login to see] 90_aud [login to see] 44:kwd-698199160_c&amp;ksprofid=3123&amp;ksaffcode=kw146062&amp;ksdevice=c&amp;utm_content=residential&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2J3d9uiE6AIVBF8NCh1PDAt1EAAYASAAEgLA_fD_BwE <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.pods.com/promo?eadid=phone::8884959783&amp;kpid=GOOGLE_149304315_19775901675_258712683790_aud-410820488044:kwd-698199160_c&amp;ksprofid=3123&amp;ksaffcode=kw146062&amp;ksdevice=c&amp;utm_content=residential&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2J3d9uiE6AIVBF8NCh1PDAt1EAAYASAAEgLA_fD_BwE">promo</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2020 9:46 PM 2020-03-05T21:46:34-05:00 2020-03-05T21:46:34-05:00 SPC Brian Mason 5633171 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I doubt free. <br />While stationed in NY, there was a local one that constantly did business with soldiers on the base and it wasn&#39;t far from it. I set up automatic payment and the guy gave me paperwork that if something happened he would still store our things and we could work it out when I got back. That, in my opinion, is an awesome way to support the military. Y’all to your command, you may be able to work something out.
