<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I do think that it is an overreaction, however as was determined in a recent Texas ruling, the states do have the right to ban the display of objectionable material on items designed/issued by the state itself. I have some good friends that are members of the SCV, that put on reenactments and camps throughout GA in an effort to reinforce the history of our nation, not just the Confederacy, I find it disheartening and disappointing that states that had only "yesterday" had no issue with the plates, not to mention the extra $ it generated in revenue, now deem it inappropriate for a historical society to display a part of their heritage. Alas though, it is what it is......SFC William Swartz JrWed, 24 Jun 2015 09:32:39 -04002015-06-24T09:32:39-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 24 at 2015 9:43 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>ALCON, <br /><br />The flag is not a hate symbol but heritage.... to some. For others it is a symbol of an oppressive system from a bygone era. Let these individuals have their flags. Freedom of expression. The Klan used to put up a cross down town at the fountain square where I am from for Christmas and I really did not care. It was only when I had gotten older that I truly understood and learned what that was about. I used to watch Dukes of Hazard and had thought that the Confederate Flag was the coolest flag ever because of the car; until again I had learned what it was really about. But again in conclusion let the flags stay and keep Fort Bragg ...Fort Bragg.SSG Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 24 Jun 2015 09:43:32 -04002015-06-24T09:43:32-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 24 at 2015 10:18 AM

Is it whomever wants to or are there limits eg one could imagine a separation of church state argument against churches synagogues mosques and temples having vanity plates.
