If he does, don't count on air support from the USAF for a while because it will be Putin's initiative and it is likely he is not going to sit there like a dumb sh*t as what happened in ODS while the USAF takes out his air defenses PLUS he has active factories to make more to replace what was taken out. Lots of over confident folks say we will never see another conventional war but I do not share that optimism.Response by SPC Erich Guenther made Nov 6 at 2016 11:30 AM2016-11-06T11:30:51-05:002016-11-06T11:30:51-05:001SG Al Brown2047363<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Let's hope not. I'm sure the planners have it figured out. But go back just a few years. When a Private is waiting for the Soviets to cross the Fulda Gap; knowing that he won't survive the first thrust, it gets more real than the last few conflicts have felt. On alert, sitting in that idling truck and waiting was a character builder. Big maneuver wars are serious business, and WW3 would be the biggest.Response by 1SG Al Brown made Nov 7 at 2016 8:27 AM2016-11-07T08:27:32-05:002016-11-07T08:27:32-05:00Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth2048963<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not out of the realm of possibilities. However, the major players rattle their sabers but don't want to draw them out of the scabbard because there is too much at stake financially. Too many countries are making money and they don't want to disrupt that. Now internally, there is always the possibility of civil war but in my opinion, that is so far fetched I don't think that will ever happen.Response by Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth made Nov 7 at 2016 5:11 PM2016-11-07T17:11:32-05:002016-11-07T17:11:32-05:00SSG Carlos Madden2049078<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't think you're alone thinking this:<br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/wwiii-on-the-horizon">https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/wwiii-on-the-horizon</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">
