Is your focus on life...or death? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-your-focus-on-life-or-death

Do YOU spend much of your time doing all you can do to stay healthy, safe and delay the time of your death? Or do you spend much of your time trying to squeeze the most you can out of life? Since we all have an inevitable appointment with death, what is your primary approach to life? How do you view death, especially the one that awaits you? I am writing a 'theology of death and life' and would love your input. I try to eat healthy most of the time, I try to get as much exercise as I can around my schedule. But I do chew tobacco, but that is the only unhealthy thing that I indulge in. I do not drink, and I do not do any drugs, I see them as negative impacts on a person' s health. My view of death is that I know that we all must die, but I want to enjoy as many healthy and happy years as I can in this planet with my wife and my family. I am not rushing to the grave, but I am enjoying whatever positive things that life can offer me. Except at this station I'm not sure and not too worried when I will rotate-out of. I have a few goals here in life (and at the command) that I'm trying to meet, and then on with the show to the next 'station'.

I give praise to my maker whom I'm oftentimes very eager to see, especially when the times get rough, but I'm here on this planet to help and serve others just as I am at the current command.

I've come to terms that my time will eventually be up on this planet just like everyone else's, and that I cannot take ANYTHING with me upon my 'transfer', so I enjoy providing encouragement to others who struggle or worry about death as we all happily 'await' for it some day.

Deep stuff, eh? Happy days, Sir! I am not a health freak as I have a very busy work schedule along with three kids, a wife etc and all of the associated activities with them. I try to eliminate the big risks. I don't smoke or drink (except socially on occassion). Annual physicals to keep an eye on things etc. I don't engage in a lot of high risk behaviors so serious accidents are a lower risk

I try to enjoy the life I have without obsessing over trying to add more years to it since I have no idea how long will last anyway. I do my best to stay healthy...plan for the future and live in the now. I tend to think of you focus on death you will never really live.
