SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3220881 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I had 3 injuries in 82nd as a infantry man, I&#39;m just simply not that athletic for this job, and my back after the injury is just not good enough to ruck with 65 pounds on my back. It seems like the only option right now for me is to either reclass through re-enlistment or Med board out of the army. I&#39;m currently actively working on reclass to 17C through application but i don&#39;t really like the odds. If I was invoked from that, is there any desk job that&#39;s not so physically intense and is currently under strength? Also, if the reclass through re-enlist was approved, when can i pcs? It's about 14 months before my ETS date. Is there a desk job MOS to which I can reclassify? 2018-01-02T22:32:29-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3220881 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I had 3 injuries in 82nd as a infantry man, I&#39;m just simply not that athletic for this job, and my back after the injury is just not good enough to ruck with 65 pounds on my back. You can also research what the various MOS do, but your best bet is to talk to retention. As for PCS, that all depends on your school date for your new MOS. I don&#39;t know what the current rules are, but most AIT used to require the ability to pass a PT test, and won&#39;t accept certain profiles. You may have no choice except to take the Med Board as broken as you say you are. But, to answer your last question, you would PCS when you receive orders telling you when you would need to report. However if you reclass you will owe the army additional time. Look up the retntionnreg and look for service remaining requirements. That lays out the training to time ratio you would owe the army for x number weeks of training. That would waste a bu ch of Army money. You may be able to fill a different role within your bn that takes you off the line and let&#39;s you finish your time. There may even be a borrowed military manpower job like handing out towels at the gym, or barracks manager. Either way, make sure you start SLF-TAP now to get a decent resume spin up so you can look to the future and do some job hunting.
