The first order of business would be identify anyone with military/law enforcement/martial arts training for volunteers. Assuming no one is armed because of "gun free zones", search the immediate area for anything that can be improvised as a weapon. Next secure the classrooms with some form of barricade (locked doors, desks propped up against the door etc). Also try to leave at least one person with training per room as a last defender. After that, it's take whomever is willing to try and neutralize the enemy while remaining behind cover as much as possible.

This is what we were trained to do and if the time ever came I would hope I would act in such a manner. Some might call it heroic, but personally I feel it's the right thing to do.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke Response by Cpl Justin Goolsby made Nov 29 at 2016 10:17 AM 2016-11-29T10:17:26-05:00 2016-11-29T10:17:26-05:00 CPO Bill Penrod 2117480

No need for Soldiers to guard anything.
