My request is not going up the chain of command. My wife is pregnant and we live in remote area of Iowa. Family program didnt help, IG at my RSG didnt really help either. Its depressing out here and we would like to be close to family and friends who live in Connecticut. Oh my unit is no longer ACF / M1 priority and I've been on AGR since August 2015. ? Shes due in December. Whats my options ?

So want reassignment based on what? Depressed, crap welcome to the real world.
Based on the info provided I see no reason for a unit to grant a compassionate.
The other way to go is find a unit that will accept you, find a job there and hope for the best.
That's if you are in the reserves. Good Luck.

yeah its depressing , I literally work by myself Monday thru Friday and no one gives a damn. I just want my packet to reach USARC and its not getting there. What if army tells me that I have to leave for three weeks for another AT or CSTX or WAREX ? How do I leave a pregnant woman or a lonely mother behind with no support. Every one is back home and no friends where we live. We're surrounded by seniors and corn fields and smell of cows shit everyday.

SFC (Join to see) - the same way Soldiers have been doing it forever. Sounds like you should just quit.

Confused. What were the factors for compassionate reassignment?

my wife's and child welfare, she's been diagnosed with PTSD(years ago) and prone to depression and anxiety. She is desperate for being close to her mother as she has great experience and can provide much needed maternal guidance. I am occupying a stand "alone" facility in Iowa.

Oftentimes a diagnosis of a mental disorder can be grounds to enroll a family member in EFMP, depending on the severity. If it is a severe case, perhaps the reassignment can be made to somewhere better equipped to offer treatment for the PTSD?

Agreed. Sounds like that may be the better route.
