Connect and collaborate with military veteran business owners and leaders, and optimize your skills, share best practices, and learn from other entrepreneurs on how they found success.

The free and virtual event, hosted by America’s Warrior Partnership and Fiserv, is happening Thursday, August 19, from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. ET

I am Joshua Wilson, a Marine veteran, lawyer, and Corporate Relationship Manager for the Corporate Veteran Initiative (CVI) at America’s Warrior Partnership (AWP). CVI provides employers resources to provide their veteran employees with information, training, and resources. We also connect veterans to various resources, including employment, education, healthcare, housing, transportation, and financial aid, by engaging military veterans and family members with their communities.

As a part of the CVI mission to empower veteran entrepreneurs, the Veteran Entrepreneurship Forum (https://rly.pt/2TFpE2S), presented by America’s Warrior Partnership (https://rly.pt/3BWnL32) and Fiserv (https://rly.pt/3xeLTul) is happening on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 p.m. ET. The free and virtual event will connect veteran business owners, veteran corporate leaders, business resources, and other industry-leading nonprofit advocates to discuss solutions to empower veteran small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The event’s goal is to support veteran-owned businesses and professionals by connecting them with corporate leaders and resources to discuss issues, needs, and potential collaborative solutions to better empower veteran-owned small businesses.

The interactive line-up includes two panel sessions, the first being "Empowering Veteran Entrepreneurs," followed by "What I Wish I Knew When I Started My Business." A breakout discussion will feature guest partners from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans & Military Families (IVMF), and Dog Tag Bakery. Attendees will also hear from a panel of veteran entrepreneurs sharing their experiences.

The keynote speaker will be Charlynda Scales, Founder of Mutt’s Sauce. Scales is an Air Force veteran, TEDx speaker, award-winning entrepreneur, and Girl Scout Gold Award Winner. She will be presenting ideas and insights on starting a business, and ways she found success by leveraging her experience as a veteran.
