Joining a military intelligence unit with a non-MI MOS. What to expect?

I graduate AIT as a 91c (HVAC technician) in March and my ERB shows me going to Vicenza Military Intelligence Detachment. What should I expect, as my MOS isn't an MI MOS?

You don't think us Spooks need some support services? In Diego Garcia had the gentleman that did security at the Front Desk wasn't a CT but he was there to check our badges and be our first line of defense. In Sugar Grove had a Machinist Mate that ran the Command Fire Truck other than the Command MAA he was the only Non CT,ET,RM.

PFC Private RallyPoint Member Before I reclassed to MI, I was assigned to an MI unit as a 42A. I just did my job just like anywhere else, just a different type of unit.

All non-MI MOSQ soldiers are generAlly assigned to the HQ section and are expected to do their jobs. Though the MTOE for most guard/ reserve MI units areN'T slated that MOS due to having equipment specific maintainers( 35T)..

As previously stated, the importance of your MOS cannot be understated with any community within the Army, especially MI. We tend to be very reliant on technology and there are a lot of necessary cooling requirements for most of our systems.

It is safe to say that you will be doing your job as a 91C unless they stick you in the orderly room, which isn't unheard of.
