We all know judicial review can abolish or strike down portions of civilian legislation, but could a lawsuit like the one this Soldier filed result in a legally mandated change to a military regulation? Is there a precedent? <br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="http://www.businessinsider.com/soldier-tattoo-lawsuit-2014-5">http://www.businessinsider.com/soldier-tattoo-lawsuit-2014-5</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/000/210/qrc/soldier-wants-100-million-in-lawsuit-against-army-over-unconstitutional-tattoo-policy.jpg?1443016880"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="http://www.businessinsider.com/soldier-tattoo-lawsuit-2014-5">Soldier Wants $100 Million In Lawsuit Against Army Over &#39;Unconstitutional&#39; Tattoo Policy</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">The soldier has 11 tattoos.</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Judicial Review and Miliary Law 2014-05-02T12:26:50-04:00 1LT Private RallyPoint Member 117126 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Here's a question for all you JAG types out there. I don't know about the "unconstitutional" part. We give up a lot of rights when we join the Military.<br /><br />Should be interesting to follow though. If you don't like the regulation you can always exercise you rights to petition the powers that be for a change.<br /><br />Just kidding. I think both of these issues are ridiculous. Grow up and deal with it. Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 2 at 2014 9:38 PM 2014-05-02T21:38:27-04:00 2014-05-02T21:38:27-04:00 2014-05-02T12:26:50-04:00
