Just curious, is there a way to match transitioning veterans with a mentor who has completed the process?

Don't know anything about them, but my assumption is that nothing formal exists. Just seems like this would already exist. (Trying not to be too cynical here.)

It's a solid concept - and that is why there are number of informal networks out there that exist to serve this purpose already, the challenge of having something more central is a daunting one though.

Trying to match the right people up would be a mountain of a task at best, and honestly outside of Veterans helping Veterans, it will be very difficult to generate any business interest in it. I could see a coalition of Veteran-Friendly companies getting together to have a place for Veterans to go and request mentors through the company's military employee resource groups, but to me, that would be the only plausible route that would bear any real fruit.

It all comes down to who can create a business case for something like that, that in turn would provide companies with a talent pipeline for them that would also drive down the cost per hire.
