Just found out I'm going to 2-12 Cav at Fort Hood soon. Can anybody there or recently there tell me about them?

I was just with them last year before I PCS'd to Hawaii, what would like to know about them? and what is your MOS?

I was in the 1st of 12th Cav. Mechanized Infantry. I loved it.

That is my unit, so you’re most likely coming to my platoon if you’re a 11C. We go out to the field allot, spend allot of time in the motorpool. Days are long, longer if you’re a NCO. It’s not bad in my opinion, I was prior light infantry, this is honestly the good life.

I retired out of there in 2015. Send me your questions. It was Tanks and Bradley’s when I was there. Good area on clear creek rd near motorpool and BATS. Same road as PX. Good billets there too.
