You being around him and I imagine pretty perceptive of personality traits might have picked up on his thought processes. I mastered chess young and have always felt you can understand the way someone thinks by the way they play. I had a goal of one day wanting to play a general as the game was initially designed for a relative purpose. I wanted to know how that person thought. What the difference was between a high ranking commander and me. After playing in the military for years I learned the difference between good leaders is the way they take in information and execution.
