His most daring appearance was in the bathroom reserved for President Truman, Josef Stalin and Prime minister Clemente Atlee during the "Big Three" conference in Potsdam, Germany in July 1945. Stalin returned in an agitated state and asked his translator, "who is Kilroy?" That's what i want to know.

The late and great Paul Harvey once told the true story of who Kilroy actually was. He was a ship inspector at one of the Navy yards. Where ever he inspected, he would put "Kilroy was here".

I have read of how Kilroy made appearances throughout the ETO & PTO theaters during WWII. I saw him in the back of an old Gov't bus - a Blue Bonnet school bus type-on board Camp Lejeune during the 90's.
