We were close enough to the DMZ to be concerned and have a very interesting job, but far enough away to also have a good time when it was quittin' time. As 7th ID, Signal Co wire maintenance troops we often had wire &quot;outages&quot; that required we take a jeep to repair the &quot;problem anywhere in the 7th ID area. However, just by looking outside and going offpost, I see the achievements in what my uncle has put his sweat into and what his battles have done to being Korea where it is today.
