Theodore (Dutch) VanKirk, the navigator of the Anola Gays historic mission of dropping the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, has passed away at the age of 93. Full story attached.

Sad story to hear. Don't know if you ever have heard about Louis Zamperini or read the book on his life, Unbroken, but he passed away recently too. I highly recommend it, it's been on the best sellers list for 4 years now. The Greatest Generation is passing away at a high rate; I always try to make it out to Honor Flights and talk to them and learn from them.
