Don't know if you ever have heard about Louis Zamperini or read the book on his life, Unbroken, but he passed away recently too. I highly recommend it, it's been on the best sellers list for 4 years now. The Greatest Generation is passing away at a high rate; I always try to make it out to Honor Flights and talk to them and learn from them.
