Hmm. The thing is the school can say no guns. That doesn't violate his rights since he chooses to work there. I don't quite think that's the right fight to pick.

The issue is that they will not allow him to even have his firearm locked in his vehicle when it is parked on campus. This is my hometown, so I'm watching this one pretty closely. This guy is also a gun-rights attorney.

Recently, TX followed OK in passing legislation that prevented companies from telling employees that firearms in vehicles on company parking lots was not allowed. They can still say, not in the building, but not in your vehicle. Prior to the law, companies who mandated that employees not carry in their vehicles assumed liability for the employees during their daily commutes. Example; getting car jacked after work, the company would be on the hook for damages since they were violating the employees' Second Amendment rights since the employee wouldn't be on the clock while commuting.
