The Sgt Maj of the Marine Corps the other day spoke about a budget proposal and went against what his counterparts from the other branches of service were saying by stating that lowering our pay and benefits would actually increase our discipline and be beneficial. There's obviously some back lash so the SMMC wrote a letter to all the Marines here

I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this article?? According to him service member's do not care about pay and benefits. All they care about is new equipment and going to war. And that lower pay raises discipline.
