SSG Private RallyPoint Member 197017

I have decided to make the biggest leap of faith of my life. It’s actually a culmination of things. I will be leaving the Army, the Infantry, a brotherhood. I will be ETSing at 14 years (on my own accord) into an economy that’s in the tank, with a wife (whose also in the Army) and kids; I started an AR manufacturing business (the piece of equipment we take into combat to reunite bad guys with their virgins, also known as an M4, sorry for the sarcasm, lol) in an atmosphere that is extremely liberal and anti gun. I have been given nothing but words of encouragement since I made this decision, like, “why would you waste 14 years of your life?”, “You just got 6 years to go.”, and, “don’t be stupid!”. I see them as encouragement because that’s exactly what they said to the pioneers of this great country when they moved west. Or the greatest innovators of the 20th Century, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs, Nikola Tesla, and this could go on forever. I mean, don’t take this the wrong way, I am in no way shape or form calling myself an innovator, or a genius. After all Eugene Stoner gets all the credit for this gun. What I am saying is, that what I am doing is the very essence of what this country is, drop what you’re doing, bet everything you have on your ability, and most importantly, HAVE SOME BALLS!!! If it wasn’t for the Army I wouldn’t have the ability to do what I am doing now, so thank you to all the great service men and women, 99% of this country could never do what you do, you are the greatest Americans. So if you want to follow my progress, or maybe the lack there of, “Like” me on facebook.com/combatshooters. God Bless you, your family, and God Bless America. However, I will tell you this, think about what 6 more years can do for you. Is that retirement pay going to be something that could make your life easier in the long run? Will that retirement pay help your family out in the long run. Will being able to go to the commissary and the likes be good for you? If you answered yes then maybe you should think about finishing out your 6 in the reserves. It isn't active and you don't have a huge commitment to it like you do with an active unit. Just something to think about.

God Bless you and Best Wishes! Response by Cpl Matthew Wall made Aug 18 at 2014 2:27 PM 2014-08-18T14:27:50-04:00 2014-08-18T14:27:50-04:00 SSG V.
