Lincoln Awards for Veterans

Actors have the Oscars. Live theater gets the Tony Awards. Journalists receive Pulitzer Prizes and scientists can achieve Nobel Prizes.
Now Veterans can receive an award: The Lincoln!
The idea is to recognize exemplary service by and for veterans.

Not something I would be interested in, but I can see where some might find it appealing. I tend not to be into awards/certificates/plaques as a rule.

If I read it correctly, it looks like the aim is to recognize those who have done things that would count as "improving life for veterans", not necessarily veterans (though veterans would be eligible)?

Note: You may want to rewrite the text of your post. On my first reading, I though it was a RallyPoint thing. True, I've yet to have my first cup of coffee, but I don't think I'm the only one.
