SMALL BOAT ENGINEER
SUMMARY: C-Port Marine Services seeks applicants for Small Boat Engineer to support fleet maintenance, operations and vessel support services at Kings Bay, Georgia. C-Port Marine is responsible for maintaining Government furnished equipment and various watercraft associated equipment. The Maintenance Helpers perform preventative and corrective maintenance under general supervision by a Boat Engineer/Mechanic.
Small Boat Engineers perform maintenance on the SV64s, SV33s, and Moose Boats used at SUBASE Kings Bay. Required certifications include: 10sV2000M92 MTU engines and HM521 Hamilton Jet Drive Systems; Mercury 300 hp outboard engines; Cummins QSB5.9 Engines & MJ-292 Hamilton Jet Drive Marine Propulsion Units.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of interacting effectively with technical and management personnel.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year boat engineer experience in a waterborne environment highly desired.
• Certification in two or more of the following:
o 10sV2000M92 MTU engines
o HM521 Hamilton Jet Drive Systems
o Mercury 300 HP outboard engines
o Cummins QSB5.9 Engines
o MJ-292 Hamilton Jet Drive Marine Propulsion Units
• Currently hold or shall be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Shall be proficient in the following computer programs at a minimum, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and internet software.
