Looking for possible financial help and advice while waiting for VA disability claim?

There are many local agencies that help veterans. I suggest checking with your local VA or Service group. Also try military one source.

A lot of "Vet" help organizations can be reached through your County Veterans' Office. (Anyone can jump in and correct me if I'm wrong on this.)

I was in a similar situation a few years ago. I contacted a few churches for food donations and a couple of them inquired about Christmas present possibilities for my children. A couple of months later I was surprised by a gift package from one of the organizations with a ham, some side dishes and a few presents for each of my two daughters.

I suggest that you reach out to some of the local churches. Donate your time, if you feel that you must somehow "pay" for your charity.
