They will more than likely ask for all kinds of documents, and when they have what they need, all then that is needed doing is getting a Conditional Release signed by your CoC, then processed. Once all the approving signatures are done and all the red tape is crossed, it is AF bound for you.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 13 at 2016 10:43 AM2016-10-13T10:43:35-04:002016-10-13T10:43:35-04:00MSG Brad Sand1971802<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Be careful what you ask for? So hopefully you have either really high ASVAB scores or a corresponding MOS that they are looking for.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 13 at 2016 11:12 AM2016-10-13T11:12:42-04:002016-10-13T11:12:42-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1972378<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>good luck , as long as you submitted a dd 368 to your chain of command and Air force is really willing to take you then it should work out.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 13 at 2016 12:58 PM2016-10-13T12:58:58-04:002016-10-13T12:58:58-04:00SSG Stephan Pendarvis1972928<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would ask why to see what suggestions to give first?Response by SSG Stephan Pendarvis made Oct 13 at 2016 3:00 PM2016-10-13T15:00:36-04:002016-10-13T15:00:36-04:00SFC Allen Hendricks1984862<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go to Air Force recruiter get acceptance letter go to your current readiness NCO with this and a letter from you for release from army national guard to current Commander to go to active duty. Are you do this due to a financial, medical need etc. have the reasons why you want to do this in your mind prior to talking with your command. Make sure you are medically and physical fit to go - no profiles etc. Are you current in your training, what is the manning for your MOS in the guard, if it is undermanned, that might hurt your ability to leave prior to your ETS. Are you looking to retrain, stay in the same MOS on AD - check to see what the AD manning is - remember we are in a budget situation right now and the number of troops are still being trimmed from all sides of the service. Once you have they questions answered then go to your command and discuss what your options are at this time. Once they sign off, then you can start working with the recruiters to see what is available for you on AD. Good Luck.Response by SMSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 18 at 2016 9:21 AM2016-10-18T09:21:29-04:002016-10-18T09:21:29-04:002016-10-13T10:39:38-04:00
