While the Army has incorporated the NREMT Basic into the training and mosq for 68W, there is far more to being mosq. You would have to attend training on Army specific items, such as Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3). Since the Army does some things differently from the civilian counterparts, additional training is required.Response by SGT Edward Wilcox made Dec 2 at 2015 11:10 AM2015-12-02T11:10:30-05:002015-12-02T11:10:30-05:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member1144958<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To attain the 68W MOS, even as a paramedic, you will have to attend AIT as a 68W at Fort Sam Houston. You would be able to skip through some of the curriculum.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 2 at 2015 11:28 AM2015-12-02T11:28:42-05:002015-12-02T11:28:42-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member1144974<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Nope, you have to go to school. But the good news is that if your certifications are current, you will be able to test out of certain portions of the course.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 2 at 2015 11:35 AM2015-12-02T11:35:17-05:002015-12-02T11:35:17-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member1145037<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is. If it gets approved you will be assigned IAW the needs of the Army and may have to reenlist/extend to meet the SRR for the MOS.<br /><br />Edit: I just realized that this is a Reserve question. You can still do a 4187 for MOS Conversion, but I only imagine if your Unit has an opening for the MOS, I believe. I would check with the Career Counselors you may have or at least your Retention NCO.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 3 at 2015 6:29 AM2015-12-03T06:29:03-05:002015-12-03T06:29:03-05:00SGT Victoria Belbusti1147765<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You'd still have to complete the whiskey portion of AIT.Response by SGT Victoria Belbusti made Dec 3 at 2015 12:35 PM2015-12-03T12:35:04-05:002015-12-03T12:35:04-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member1149765<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Have you thought about going 68WF2 flight paramedic?Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 4 at 2015 2:48 AM2015-12-04T02:48:57-05:002015-12-04T02:48:57-05:002015-12-02T10:40:27-05:00
