While the Army has incorporated the NREMT Basic into the training and mosq for 68W, there is far more to being mosq. You would have to attend training on Army specific items, such as Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3). Since the Army does some things differently from the civilian counterparts, additional training is required. If it gets approved you will be assigned IAW the needs of the Army and may have to reenlist/extend to meet the SRR for the MOS.<br /><br />Edit: I just realized that this is a Reserve question. You can still do a 4187 for MOS Conversion, but I only imagine if your Unit has an opening for the MOS, I believe. I would check with the Career Counselors you may have or at least your Retention NCO.
