I received a direct commission in 1979 as a 2nd LT Env Sci Officer, from enlisted(was E-6 on 7 promotion list) Actually had just under 10 years enlisted so had a lot of Medical staff I had worked with when assigned to Envi Hygiene Agency, Edgewood Arsenal, MD. Was drafted in 69 ASA. Then after VN war got a 01H MOS to get assigned in the medical as had BS degree. After got the commission got accepted for grad school as needed MSEH to get promoted to Major. I retired as Major. Was Cdr227th from 79 to 83 then MAMC before advanced course.
