Louisiana Police Officer Murdered Today. Too bad his death does not meet the media sensationalism requirements. Where is the outrage?

No police have rioted or looted over this incident. It is just business as usual for our police officers. The media loves to generate headlines by exploitation of a perceived atmosphere of constant racism and police brutality. Where is the outrage and non-stop media reporting? Did this even make the national news circuit? Well I know about it, and I want to bring it to everyone's attention. Am I missing something and only see the world thru rose colored glasses ? Does it become more newsworthy if we simply change the color of someone's skin? Am I alone in feeling this way?
RIP Officer. End of Watch.

SFC, you're not missing anything. I saw it on my local news and on Fox news online. It's a damn shame and my heart goes out to the family of the police officer. But I'm going to give a big BZ and attaboy to the man that came and took him down knowing this fool had a weapon and was willing to give it all to assist the cop and call for assistance. For every dumba** there are still some good people in this country.

Amen SSG Warren Swan It is easy to forget the positive side of the situations most of the time. Thanks for reminding us. In the end, good will always triumph over evil and love will always conquer hate.

First, my condolences to the Officer. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his.
Second, the employed very rarely riot.
Third, no one riots for a Policeman, white, black or otherwise.
Fourth, we have no control over what the media deems newsworthy. They control the color.
And Fifth, no, you are not alone.
Picking up a new pair of rose colored glasses tomorrow if you care to join me.

Amen MSgt Curtis Ellis. The older I get, the more I love our first responders. Once I bought pizzas and went to the station house and they said thanks, but probably threw them in the trash out of distrust. Very sad that they have to be on such high alert 24/7. Our media is broken. Remember the days of the Walter Cronkite media? They spoke, we listened, and that was good enough for me. This side said this, that side said that, and we pray for our leaders. Now, they just whip everyone into a frenzy and stand back.
