SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6114514

I have a question about reenlistment and MACP.

I reenlisted in September of 2019 and requested Germany.
My wife and I were married in May of 2020
We both signed our 4187 for MACP.
We contact her Branch Manager and asked when she would be put on assignment to Germany as well. He informed us that because she is a first term Soldier, she would not be able to go to Germany unless she reenlists. Her window does not open until April of 2021. I'm supposed to report in September of 2020. Do you have any ideas or suggestions for us? MACP for spouse? 2020-07-18T18:06:14-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6114514

I have a question about reenlistment and MACP.

I reenlisted in September of 2019 and requested Germany.
My wife and I were married in May of 2020
We both signed our 4187 for MACP.
We contact her Branch Manager and asked when she would be put on assignment to Germany as well. MACP does not guarantee an assignment together, especially if she isn’t in her window to Re-enlist or at her SRR for the installation she is it. When she is eligible to reenlist she can request an assignment and they will move both of you. HRC might not be able to accommodate both of you to Germany. He stated there is an ETP for such an an occasion. He informed me that she would need to at least extend her contract in order to PCS. We're now just awaiting projected orders from her Branch Manager.

As well, I sent up a 4187 for deferment and was given a 90 day extension so that we may PCS together.

All in all, I was about to give up. Have my orders deleted and possibly kiss the opportunity of a lifetime goodbye. But, I was told to just keep asking questions and don't be intimidated to ask higher.
Germany here we come.
