He intended to stop in Gastonia, but along the way he bypassed the city and made his way to Kings Mountain.<br /><br />Brady recently retired from the Marines after 22 years of service, which included two tours in Iraq. An associate of mine walked across the USA last year, but he did it just to do it. He was a veteran as well. He quit his job and took a couple months to walk from Georgia to San Diego.
