A reassignment in <br />CONUS, under the MACP, to establish a JD may be granted as an exception. <br />Reassignment is contingent on the following:</p></a><a><br /><p class="indent2">(1) A valid requisition exists in the Soldier's <br />grade and MOS at the gaining installation, and assignments are near enough to <br />each other to establish a JD.</p></a><a><br /><p class="indent2">(2) Losing installation does not have a critical <br />shortage in the Soldier's grade and MOS.</p></a><a><br /><p class="indent2">(3) Soldiers have served a minimum of 24 months <br />(12 months when volunteering to join spouse in an OCONUS area) TOS when <br />departing the losing duty station for a CONUS to CONUS reassignment. Soldiers <br />may submit a voluntary request for OCONUS after 6 months TOS if military spouse <br />is located OCONUS for movement after completion of 12-month TOS requirement. If <br />both Soldiers are assigned to CONUS locations, a request for CONUS reassignment <br />may be submitted after 14 months (for movement upon completion of 24-months TOS <br />requirement) for PCS at Government expense.</p></a><a><br /><p class="indent2">(4) Soldiers must have 24 months time-in-service <br />remaining after arrival at gaining installation (must be able to serve <br />prescribed tour to join spouse overseas).
