Just questioning if a medication "allergy" I have is something that would flag on Genesis at MEPS. Many years ago, I took Amoxicillin to cure strep throat and a second time I took Cipro to cure the same illness a year or two later. I had a mild reaction to both these drugs but no other antibiotics, have even taken these since then with no reaction. And by mild reaction, I mean they gave me a slight yeast infection that went away shortly after.
Keep in mind, I have never been actually diagnosed with any allergy!!!
However, the last 3 times I have been to an urgent care, wellness check, (any doctor at all since then), I reported these reactions and they were, of course, put down as an allergy of mine during each visit, however, these "allergies" had absolutely nothing to do with either doctor visit. I planned on not mentioning this at all when it came time to enlist since the reactions were so mild and manageable, and go to MEPS, but the new Genesis program has me on edge.
Will these two drugs flag as allergies in my record, even though they were self-reported and never clinically diagnosed? Will it possibly disqualify me in any way? If it does, could I get a waver?

It is very common for women to develop a yeast infection when taking antibiotics. And what you describe doesn't sound like an allergy.

A yeast infection is not an allergy to antibiotics. It just means the med killed off the normal bacteria in the vagina and the yeast overgrew. Not disqualifying for MEPS.

No, that does not classify as an allergy, that's a secondary infection and they are common after a course of antibiotics that changes the normal body flora. You could mention it, but it's not medically disqualifying. If you want more info, check AR 40-501 (Medical Standards) in Chapter 2 for initial enlistment and appointment standards. It is grouped into medically disqualifying conditions by body system. It is open-source and downloadable as a PDF from ArmyPubs online.
