At times, McCarthy's tone sounded far harsher than the one used by current Speaker John Boehner.

Trey Gowdy seems to be cut from a different cloth with
most politicians today. He seems to understand that 2+ 2 = 4.
When Watergate was happening in 1974, there was a
better general consensus. Today the climate is like a bunch
of predators looking for a big paycheck and to hell with the
people who vote for them.

If McCarthy's tone is more resolute (harsher is a bit strong)
then maybe that is what is needed. There are literally hundreds
of millions of people that are starving as we speak, but we spend
billions on campaigns and to what end? Profligate spenders
keep doing what benefits themselves.

The thing with Hillary is the gold standard for what is wrong. She
was involved in Nixon's demise, demagoguing what is wrong and
ultimately paying the price. It was good enough for Nixon, it is
good enough for her. She, of all people, knows this but her
arrogance and business as usual condemns her and what makes
politics so messed up these days.

I hope McCarthy can restore faith in the process and stop the abuses.
Is this even doable now?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a Speaker of the House who can actually speak? I'm not sure McCarthy is the man for the job. He's Boehner's disciple and I don't really think we need more of the same, do you?

I like Kevin, but his most recent "oops" moment indicates to me that he has some degree of difficulty talking and thinking intelligently at the same time.
