If folks want to say "Happy Hanukkah" or "Happy Kwanza" or "Happy Eid," good for them. I'm a Christian and I celebrate the Christian holiday of Christmas. I'm bracing for the criticism of this simple post.Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 23 at 2014 5:22 PM2014-12-23T17:22:46-05:002014-12-23T17:22:46-05:00SGT Kristin Wiley383806<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Merry Christmas! <br /><br />I won't be offended if someone says Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa or anything else to me. If we are trying to establish Happy Holidays in the name of conformity then there are a lot of religions out there that don't celebrate their holidays during this month. We don't have to have the same religion for us to respect each other's traditions. We shouldn't be offended that others believe differently than us.Response by SGT Kristin Wiley made Dec 23 at 2014 5:32 PM2014-12-23T17:32:20-05:002014-12-23T17:32:20-05:00SMSgt Private RallyPoint Member383845<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'm a Christian and will typically say "Merry Christmas," however, my XO is Jewish, so when talking to him I might wish him a "Happy Hanukkah." I also grew up hearing "Happy Holidays," not as a substitute for "Merry Christmas" but because there are so many holidays smashed into this one month period... Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. I've always seen it as just a way to lump them all in together.Response by LCDR Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 23 at 2014 6:13 PM2014-12-23T18:13:12-05:002014-12-23T18:13:12-05:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member383865<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If I know the person and their religion I'll say Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, etc. If it's someone I don't know Merry Christmas does just fine. If they get offended at someone wishing positive vibes to them, then I know they are weak minded and not worth my time.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 23 at 2014 6:15 PM2014-12-23T18:15:47-05:002014-12-23T18:15:47-05:00PV2 Private RallyPoint Member383924<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Merry Christmas.
