I would enroll for courses, and sometimes drop them or not finish them thinking I can always justify dropping courses with "serving my country".

Keep in mind, when it comes time to transfer to a 4 year college (or grad school), all those courses that weren't taken with due diligence can come back to haunt you. I'm not saying I didn't take school seriously back then, but even the most rookie mentor could've told me that any and every course taken (or failed or not completed) has the potential to hurt your chances when it comes time to apply for an advanced degree.

It doesn't matter how young (or old) you are, if you're serving and new to college, find a mentor (it's a sign of maturity).Response by SFC Juan Rivera made Jan 29 at 2018 7:33 PM2018-01-29T19:33:05-05:002018-01-29T19:33:05-05:002018-01-29T13:43:16-05:00
