Military Medical translation into civilian licenses.

I'm seeking information on the transferability of military medical skills and training into civilian licenses, certifications and credentials. I'm aware of the Army's 68WM6 MOS transferability to a civilian LPN.

Any other programs out there?

At least for the Army, all clinical medical MOS's are associated with civilian licenses. The issue for guys like medics, though, is that their scope of practice in the military often exceeds what their certifications would allow in the civilian world.

Thanks LTC Labrador. It's not a seamless transition to say the least. The issue I'm finding is that healthcare systems are not able to hire veterans based solely on their military training and require them to have the civlian license in order to be considered.

I joined after 9/11. Army. I joined at that point what was a 91W combat medic, I had medical training on the outside (CMA) when I got out the only thing I could do was an EMT-B or go back to my CMA training.

For the Air Force (and I suspect others), the 4N Medical Technician is EMT certified on the National Registry. All the officer medical stuff has civilian counter parts...to the degree that I must carry a current State Board of Nursing License (while I practice on a military installation, it can be from any state...if I moonlight, must have license from the state that I am in). I believe that Docs and other providers are the same way.
