MILTECH vs. DAC

Do you feel that the Reserves should get rid of MILTECHs and replace all the positions with DACs? I have seen MILTECHs who had to retire or were unable to reenlist but were great at their civilian job and had to give it up. Is that fair? Would it be more beneficial for all those positions to become DAC and their employment not be tied to being a member of the Reserves?

When you become a DAC you are not controlled by your RSC. The RSC want to control you do they really don't want the positions to become DAC.

I was just talking to a buddy of mine about this. She just stated that the Army Reserves can't keep miltechs; therefore, they are looking to convert a lot of these positions to DAC. I, for one, as a Senior NCO Logistician, would welcome this opportunity. It's coming.
